Face in theThorns - pARTisan
Saturday, August 22
David Lusk Gallery
Event begins at 11:30 AM. Conversation from 12:00–1:00 PM.
I’m excited to be moderating Face in Thorns: Artist x Activist Conversation this Saturday, August 22 at David Lusk Gallery.
I’ll be joined by artist Tess Davies and Francie Hunt, Executive Director of TN Advocates for Planned Parenthood, for a conversation about art, autonomy, and resistance — and the ongoing fight for reproductive rights, access, and justice in Tennessee.
The conversation is part of pARTisan, a six-day pop-up exhibition exploring the intersection of art, politics, and civic life in Tennessee. Come early to see work from more than 30 artists, including Tess’ beautiful Face in Thorns, and stay for the conversation.
Parnassus Books - In Store Author Event
Mon, 3/9/2026 - 6:30pm
Parnassus Books is pleased to welcome Victoria Dillon to celebrate her new book, Ava, in conversation with Rachel Wells.
About the Book
For fans of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale comes Ava, a provocative blend of speculative fiction and social commentary that takes readers on a gripping, thought-provoking journey into the fight for women's autonomy in a politically charged Southern landscape.
What if the only way to reclaim reproductive freedom was to rewrite the very nature of birth itself?
