Rachel Wells (she/her) is an independent journalist covering reproductive and abortion rights, sexual violence, and trauma. Her work has appeared on the cover of ACLU Magazine and in Rewire News, Nashville Banner, Nashville Scene, and The Tennessean, among others. She has provided testimony to Congress in support of the Violence Against Women’s Act and has been quoted as an expert in the press.
In 2008, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication. In New York, she held positions at WME, Publicis Groupe, and Dailymotion. Her advocacy projects have been featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, New York Magazine, and Cosmopolitan.
In April 2024, Rachel launched TN Repro News to keep Tennesseans informed of the constantly evolving legislative threats to reproductive freedom. She lives in Nashville with her husband and son and spends her spare time hiking in the forest.
